My card this year is taken from a pastel sketch of a Grey face Dartmoor sheep which spent the summer in our village and came to graze in our field for a while. This young ram stood out from the rest for me with his striking face and might have made a champion at show according to his breeder, had it not been for his “faulty” black ear. I thought he was special in spite of it & deserved to be on my Christmas card this year.

3 October 2018

Such a surprise - I’ve won an award for the composition of a charcoal drawing at the Society of Graphic Fine Art’s Open Exhibition in London!! I really hadn’t expected that! The award was sponsored by Creativity International so many thanks indeed to them. I can now order lots of their lovely paper!

This is the winning piece in charcoal & pastel.

May 2018

Having exhibited a few times over the years with The Society of Graphic Fine Art, I decided to seek membership this year and am now thrilled to say I’ve been elected as an Associate Member.

This involved submitting sketchbooks & finished work to the SGFA Council in London one morning & returning at the end of the day for their decision.

Hopefully I will become a full member in 3 years
